Presenter

Howdy folks. Well I think it’s fair to say I’ve been here at GHR all of my adult life. I arrived late in 1991 after coming out of University. I came to do six months for the Service section of my Duke of Edinburgh Award. Well that six months must be up soon. I have headed up the Tuesday Team here for nearly 25 years now. In that time, I have been the chief Sports Presenter as well as presenting a Gospel music show on Sundays back in the 90s. And, of course, I have presented GHR’s Country Music show for all of that time. The show may have had several names over the years and is by a long way the longest running specialist show we have. It helped lead to me having my own Country show on local radio station Compass FM. I have produced many trailers and promos for the station over the years as well as making and singing on the station’s jingles which I produced as part of my day job of running a recording studio.

Among my highlights here at Grimsby Hospital Radio would be the times that I have been out recording interviews at some great musical events including the UK Country Radio Awards. And of course, being the expert summariser back in 1998 when Grimsby Town did the Wembley double. It was the first time that Town had ever been to Wembley and we went twice in five weeks and won on both occasions. Here’s to the next 28 years.
